The objective of the scholarship is to increase and retain the number of new professionals entering the human resources or labor relations field as a career in order to sustain growth and cooperation in the labor-management industry within the State of Tennessee.

Eligibility is defined as any college or university student who (1) is a legal resident of the State of Tennessee; (2) has completed the freshman and sophomore years of study in a degree program of a fully accredited two or four-year public or private institution of higher learning in the State of Tennessee with a grade point average of 2.5 or better (based on a 4.0 system); (3) is actively pursuing a baccalaureate or graduate degree; (4) is not related to a member Tennessee Labor-Management Foundation;(5) will pursue a career in a labor relations-related field. The student’s current field of study is not an eligibility creation.
