Good Morning Brothers and Sisters, as you all know we are arriving upon our 100 year anniversary date on May 4th, and our celebration will be the Saturday prior on May 3rd. You should be receiving an invitation by mail soon. We will need more hands on deck to assist with setup, general operations, teardown, and cleanup. This is the first year that we have sent formal invitations out for the event with it being our 100 year anniversary. with that being said we are planning for the event to be quite a bit larger. Any help is greatly appreciated, if you can assist please contact Brett Schuler( Activities Committee lead) @865-518-9822 or call the Local Union Hall @865-524-8638. Volunteers will receive a Challenge coin in appreciation for involvement. If you volunteer please plan to be at the training center at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 3rd,2025.

Robert Lonnie Merryman
August 7, 1941 – March 26, 2025
Knoxville
Robert “Bob” Merryman, age 83 of Knoxville, TN passed away Wednesday, March
26, 2025 at Sacred Ground Hospice House.
Bob was a member of Sharon Baptist Church and attended Central High School. He
was a member of the IBEW 760. He trained as an electrician and worked at
Broadway Electric, Thundercraft Boats and Vreeland Engineering. Bob loved the
outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Wilma Merryman and a brother,
Gary Merryman.
Bob is survived by the love of his life, Sandy Merryman, whom he married on
September 7, 1971; children, Robby Lane, Rodney Lane, Reggie Lane, Amy Merryman
and Jill Merryman; brother, Ron Merryman; grandchildren, Madeline Lane, Zoey
Lane, Abby Lane, Jake Lane, Scarlett Martinez, Bryce Lane, Bennett Lane, Cade
Davis, Cooper Davis and Brady Rogers; great-grandchildren, Cash Martin, and.
Loren Rose.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00pm, Friday, March 28, 2025 with a
funeral service to follow at 7:00pm at Sharon Baptist Church with Pastor Mark
McCoig and Dr. Jim Robertson officiating. The family will meet at 10:45am,
Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery for an 11:00am
interment service.
Pallbearers will be Jake Lane, Bennett Lane, Bryce Lane, Cooper Davis, Greg
Peterson, Alan Summers, Brad Rose and Gabe Butler. Honorary Pallbearers will be
the Sunday School Class at Sharon Baptist Church, Ben Braden and John Crawford.
