Rick Lynn Mellon, age 69, met Jesus face to face on Thursday, June 1, 2023. He was a long-time member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. He worked as an electrician for over 30 years with over 20 of those years at TVA. He was a proud member of IBEW #760. His great-niece, Lillee, loved to tell everyone that he worked on the electrical wiring of Epcot theme park in Orlando, FL before its opening in the early 1980s. He was a fun-loving guy who loved all UT Sports, Nascar, and spending days in the summer sun. He was blessed to be a cancer survivor and loved his family fiercely. His greatest pride and joy was his great-niece, Lillian Marie. He enjoyed watching her sing, dance and perform. He joined his mother, Edna Mellon, for a happy heavenly reunion, only 11 days after her passing. He was preceded in death by parents, Elder and Edna Mellon. Survivors include sister, Terry Beeler & husband, Lee; aunt, Carle\a LaBroski; niece, Natalee Elkins & husband, Harvey; great-niece, Lillee Elkins; godsisters, Marie Occil, Gina May of Englewood, FL & son, Christopher, Lou Jamieson of Chapel Hill, NC & children, Jon Taylor & Anna; god-niece, Taylor Branson and many special loved ones. The family will receive friends 4-6 pm Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Wallace Memorial BapDst Church. Celebration of Life service will be held at 6 pm with Rev. Kent Williams, Rev. Jim McCluskey, and Rev.
